This project is the design of a book featuring the text 'The Twice-Burned Library,' an extract from the book 'Burning the Books: A History of Knowledge Under Attack,' written by Richard Ovenden. The original work was first published in Great Britain in 2020 by John Murray .
Additionally, I incorporated images from the book 'Universiteitsbibliotheek Leuven' and created some images myself. The book narrates the poignant story of the University Library in Leuven, Belgium, which suffered two devastating fires. It vividly depicts the loss of critical information contained in the books housed within the library.

The cover of the book was crafted by capturing images of flames, symbolizing the destructive force that impacted the University Library. This design aims to capture the essence of the text and visually convey the profound impact of the library's double tragedy.
